Bolt-on Stainless Steel Hinges, Double Paneled Compartment Doors

  • Doors feature internal reinforcement and operate smoothly in any climate
  • Electro-zinc pins are fully concealed and never need oiling
  • Side doors feature flange-mounted automotive rubber door seals

    Benefit: Greater security, ease of replacement, protection against the elements, and smooth operation in all weather conditions.

    Rivet-on locks

  • Slam action and "T" handle style. (See dimensions to see where each lock is utilized.)
  • Adjustable A60 galvannealed steel striker plates permit ease of adjustment
  • Lock cylinders are guaranteed for life to the original owner.

    Benefit: Keeps compartment doors securely locked.  Rivet-on mounting permits ease of replacement (if necessary).

    Rear Compartment Doors

  • Full width lift-up doors are standard on Space Cap. Full width single or double vertical rear doors are standard on Ready Cap (all rear door modules are single doors unless followed by a "-2" suffix).
  • Easy open automatic rear lift-up door flips up on pneumatic props when the door latch is disengaged, and closes completely when partially lowered (standard on Space Cap).

    Benefit: Provides easy access to the pickup bed from the rear of the truck.

    Shelves / Dividers (Space Cap Only)

  • One minimum spangle galvanized lock-in compartment shelf is provided.
  • Brackets on both sides of the cap allow choice of mounting location.

    A-60 Galvannealed Steel Construction

    Reading service bodies feature two-sided zinc coated A-60 galvannealed steel construction.


    Acrylic E-Coat Priming

    Steel bodies enter a 12-state process which thoroughly cleans, rinses, and finally primes the steel by electrically fusing the primer to the steel. This process provides complete coverage to the body, even in the most hidden or recessed areas.

    Benefit: Combining A-60 galvannealed steel with Acrylic E-coat priming provides the best and most comprehensive protection against rust and corrosion available in the industry.


    5 Year Warranty

    Reading caps are so tough they are backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
