Word of Mouth Lands Reading a New Customer

Company Name: Tolino’s Fuel Service, Inc.
Reading Products: Custom Service Body
Type of Service: Propane Heater and Tank Installation

You can’t always take people on their word. In fact, you often need to take what others say with a grain of salt. This is especially true if you are planning on spending some of your hard-earned money on a big purchase. There are times, however, when good things are repeatedly said about something, you just have to find out for yourself.
When Carl Tolino, President of Tolino’s Fuel Service, Inc., went shopping for a new service truck vehicle, he listened to what others had to say. And what did “they” say? Buy a Reading. Carl took their advice and purchased a custom service body for use as a service vehicle.
Although he previously had never owned a Reading body, Carl “heard a lot of good things” about Reading bodies. “Reading has always been a household name. It’s pretty much an accepted body. Everyone uses them,” explained the 2nd generation owner of Tolino’s Fuel Service.
The body was customized with a lift gate and a pipe rack designed to haul 21-ft. pipes. They utilize the body compartments to carry brass fittings, tools, regulators, an electric pipe threader, black steel fittings, and copper tubing. The cargo area is used for hauling tanks. They are able to fit a 1000 gallon tank in the cargo area with the gate up.
Tolino’s is a heating/oil company that installs propane heaters and tanks and sells and hauls gasoline to service stations. They’ve been in business since 1955 and are members of the National Propane Gas Association. Tolino’s service customers in a 25-mile radius and employ 20 people.
The Reading custom service body was purchased through Crest Truck Equipment, an authorized Reading distributor, located in Bowmansville, PA.
Standard features of the Reading body include construction of two-sided A60 galvannealed steel and Lectro-Life® immersion priming for complete rust protection. Other standard features include automotive-quality rotary locks for secure protection to tools and equipment; stainless steel bolt-on hinges keeping the compartment doors operating smoothly in all weather conditions; and double paneled compartment doors offering greater durability.
